남부뉴저지통합한국학교 전통타악연주단은 지난 2월 8일 오전 8시부터 9시 30분까지 90분 동안 뉴욕취타대 이춘승 단장을 초청하여 사물놀이 특강 시간을 가졌다. 오는 2월 22일 문화예술제 '한인의 얼' 행사를 앞두고 사물놀이 공연 리허설 막바지 준비 중에 있는 연주단은 그동안 자체연습을 통해 실력을 유지해 왔고, 이번 특강 시간은 연주단의 실력을 점검하고 향상시키기 위한 자리였다. '한인의 얼' 행사는 2월 22일 오후 4시에 개최되며, 1부에서는 본교 학생들의 공연이, 2부에서는 팝핀현준, 박애리 씨를 비롯한 전문 예술가들의 무대가 예정되어 있다.
