독립을 향한 행진: 삼일운동의 의의 조명
- KSSNJ 학생포럼 개최로 삼일운동정신 계승
남부뉴저지통합한국학교(이하 “학교”, 교장 김정숙)는 재외동포청의 후원으로 지난 11월 23일 오후 1시30분부터 뉴저지 벌링턴카운티 소재 벌링컨 라이브러리에서 제 6회 학생포럼을 개최했다. 이번 포럼은 학교 졸업생이자 Widener University 임상 심리학 박사과정에 있는 전해림 교사가 “독립을 향한 행진: 삼일운동의 의의 조명”이라는 주제로 9명의 고교생과 한 학기 동안 열 번의 연구모임을 가진 후 결과물을 발표했다. 어린이 합창단의 애국가와 미국가 연주로 행사를 시작했고, 포럼은 연극과 주제발표로 구성되었다. 합창단의 도라지/아리랑, 정우성 전문강사의 꿈꾸는 아리랑 대금연주, 모듬북단의 축하연주로 포럼 행사를 더욱 다채롭게 했다.

This year’s forum featured a presentation by the school’s alumna, Haerim Jeon, a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at Widener University, under the theme "The March Toward Independence: Highlighting the Significance of the March 1st Movement." The presentation was the culmination of a semester-long research project involving 10 meetings with nine high school students. The event began with the KSSNJ K-Choir performing the national anthems of Korea and the United States. The forum featured a theatrical performance and a keynote presentation. The choir's renditions of Doraji and Arirang, a dreamy Arirang performance on the daegeum by professional instructor Woosung Jung, and a celebratory performance by the KSSNJ K-Percussion Company added vibrant energy to the forum.
